Safely arrived!

We arrived at 9ish on the 28th after 24 hrs in transit (and about 2 hours sleep!). The Canadian immigration official was very nice (as were customs) which was good because we were about to fall asleep!

Charlie met us at the airport and we came back to Daphne & Charlie's house and had wine & cheese & home made bread. We went to bed at 12 and slept for 12 hours, waking to feel much more human.

After breakfast we went out looking for snow boots with Charlie...

The first place we went didn't really have anything so we pushed on to Toronto (traffic was good, Charlie said everyone must be away). We went to the Mountain Equipment Co-op and found everything we needed! For our life-time memberships of $5 we can also go back and hire gear (should we want to go x-country skiing or kayaking) and use their in store climbing wall on the weekend!

Before signing off I'd just like to say and extra huge thanks to our collective parents for all their help in getting us here!

p.s. it may be snowing in York, but it's been raining here! ; P
