Snow Day!
Today Rachel and I got a snow day!
That means both the School Board and McMaster were closed for the day due to inclement weather. We've just had a blizzard that started about midday yesterday and continued til about midday today.
When we went outside, we saw this:
(and that seat is under the front verandah...) so Rachel started doing a little bit of this
and then I joined in
Dude where's my car?
Oh there it is...
We got something like 50cm of snow within 24 hours, and I think the surrounding areas got more than us - we're a bit sheltered in Dundas.
Lucky for us, the weather has cleared up this afternoon so we just went out to do stuff like shopping for food. We lean toward buying fresh fruit n veg a lot, and so don't have a great supply of tinned food - might have to rethink that a little bit!

What a pretty Valentine's day, sun, fresh new snow, and the day off to shop with one's beloved, what more could one want. ME
Looks as though it may have been reasonably heavy in the shovel, rather than the silly light stuff that's impossible to shovel, and not easy to brush, either. So did you both get good workouts clear it away? MR
"what more could one want. ME" Well yes it's possible I could have wanted this anonymous commenter more than a snow day off with my beloved on Valentine's, but without knowing who it is...
No, it was quite light! Perfect for throwing round (although a lot did get in my hair). And yes, my arms are still a bit sore
Ottawa only got about 20-25 cms, boooo. Was very disappointing when everywhere else got 50+.
Still, we were in Toronto on the weekend skiing, and the snow was mindblowingly good. It even snowed a bit on us on the slopes!
PS. R has man arms
